By Berlin BER Airport Guide Editorial Team
This page offers a free, machine-readable dataset of airline baggage allowances at 10 airports: what each fare includes as a personal item, cabin bag and checked bag, plus overweight, oversize and pet fees. Every record carries a link to the official airline page it was checked against and the date it was verified. Use it, quote it, build on it — a link back to this page is all we ask (CC BY 4.0).

Methodology, honestly
Each record was collected by hand from the airline's official baggage page — the source_url field in every row points to it. We record what the airline publishes for flights serving the given airport: what each fare bundle includes, size and weight limits, and the fees for going over. Low-cost carriers price bags dynamically, so their fees appear as "from" values; treat them as the floor, not a quote. Where an airline follows group-wide rules (for example, the Lufthansa Group), the group policy is recorded once per airport where the carrier operates.
Two honest limitations. First, airlines change baggage rules without notice, so always confirm against the source_url before you fly — the dataset is a research and comparison tool, not a booking document. Second, coverage per airport reflects the carriers most relevant at that airport rather than every airline that lands there.
Field reference
airport_iata, airport_name — where the record applies · airline, fare — carrier and fare level · personal_item, carry_on, checked_bag_1, checked_bag_2, weight_rules — what is included, with dimensions · overweight_fees, oversize_fees — excess charges · pets — cabin pet policy and fee where published · caution — airline-specific traps worth knowing · source_url — the official page each record was checked against · measured_at — verification date.
